Boreholes

The

Boreholes

tab shows all boreholes of the project, with the newest at the top. The bar under Profile shows the layers of the borehole down to the final depth.

Search by borehole name or by the recording the borehole came from.

Below the profile are notices. Red means a required piece of data is missing, such as the soil type. Orange is a warning, such as a layer without a colour.

If there is

No type

, then the borehole type has not yet been filled in.

Use the buttons on the right to edit, copy or delete a borehole.

With

you add a borehole yourself.

Boreholes that were recorded in the field arrive here automatically. The date and time of creation are shown with them.

Lab orders

You create a lab order from the project, on the Lab orders tab. You compile composite samples from the jars from the field, choose the analyses and send the order to the lab.

Step 1

Creating a lab order

Lab orders belong to a project. You find them on the Lab orders tab of the project, with the number of orders per status shown at the top.

Open the project via

Projects

and choose the

Lab orders

.

Click on

New lab order

.

Choose the

laboratory

and the

sample type

. The customer code comes from the lab's settings and you do not enter it yourself.

Click on

Create

. The order is given a number and the status Draft.

Filling in administrative data

After creation, the order opens on the Administrative data tab. Number, lab, customer code, order reference and dates are already filled in. Required fields have a red asterisk.

Choose the

project manager

. The project manager's email address is included automatically.

Choose the

What is still missing?

At the bottom of the form, under

Still to fill in

it shows which fields are empty. The tab shows the number of open fields and in the top right you see how many are missing in total before you can send.

Step 3

Compiling composite samples

A composite sample consists of jars that go to the lab together. Jars from multiple boreholes together form one composite sample. You work in three steps, from map to profile.

STEP 1 · MAP

Drag a frame over the map to select boreholes, or click them individually. Hold Ctrl to add a frame to your selection. With

24 hours

,

This week

and

All

you determine which boreholes are visible.

STEP 2 · DEPTH

Drag the window to the depth you want to include. The range applies to all selected boreholes and is shown below it in metres.

STEP 3 · BOREHOLE PROFILES

Click on the right on

Add composite sample

and then click the jars. They are added to the active composite sample. Use the cross to remove a jar again.

STEP 3 · BOREHOLE PROFILES

Step 4

Choosing packages

In the package matrix you tick, per composite sample, which analyses the lab performs. Each column is an analysis package with the name and the lab's code.

Go to the

Packages

.

If an analysis is missing, click on

Tracking status and finding results

In the lab orders overview you see two statuses side by side for each order: the one in GeoVoice and the one at the lab. As soon as the lab sends results, the Results column shows that they are available. The results are linked to the composite sample and the jars they came from.

A template pre-fills default values when you create a project and when recordings are digitised in the field app. This means you do not have to repeat choices such as coordinate system, driller, drilling system or completion each time.

Go to
